'Earnscliffe has been working closely with exhibition designers Furneaux Stewart, to develop the concepts for this new joint military museum. A project planning grant was awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund to provide a development plan leading to a full funding application and this exercise was completed in less than three months. Apart from the timescale, there were a number of challenges to overcome in terms of location and restricted circulation. But Jayne was able to give real support in our design process with suggestions on the physical requirements to ensure access for all, including lighting and decor, furniture, graphics, language, orientation and signage as well as input into storyline development, learning outcomes and choice of interpretive media. Earnscliffe's involvement has been immensely helpful in ensuring that our interpretive approach and design scheme is flexible, engaging and inclusive, with wide appeal to a variety of visitors.'
