Training and consultation
Earnscliffe tailor-makes a range of training and consultation services including disability equality training, continued professional development workshops, and user-consultations with disabled people. Earnscliffe is well-placed to advise you on the latest developments in access as we're at the forefront of promoting best practice with umbrella organisations and funding bodies.

Disability equality training courses feature practical exercises to raise awareness of the Disability Discrimination Act and how it applies to you as a service provider and employer. The training will help you identify access provision and potential barriers across your organisation and explore cost-effective solutions to improved access.
Our continuing professional development workshops are for architects and designers. They update you on building regulations and British Standards and local government standards as they relate to your project, plus feature refresher courses on current legislation covering accessible building design. You'll also learn about the practical aspects of inclusive design such as fire safety, the sensory environment and communication aids.
Earnscliffe makes it easy for you to set up user-consultations and user-testing with disabled people. We are disabled-led, with many Deaf and disabled colleagues across the country interested in taking part in workshops and advisory groups. We've established access advisory groups for a number of museums and arts organisations. We also run consultation workshops to test design prototypes, conduct formative and post-completion evaluations and involve disabled people in a meaningful way in how you operate, in line with the Disability Equality Duty.
If you have any training or consultation requirements contact Jayne Earnscliffe on 01273 502934 or fill in our contact form and we'll get straight back to you.
