Promoting best practice
'It's not just about going through the process, it's about making access work for everyone'
Earnscliffe has been at the forefront of best practice in accessibility for more than 20 years. Director Jayne Earnscliffe has been a regular speaker on best practice and you can view her recent presentation 'Making access work in the digital age' at the Museums Associations' 'Go digital' at the Churchill Museum (18 Sept) and 'The future is visual' at the Annual Conference (6 Oct).
Jayne's groundbreaking book, 'In through the front door', is on the literature list of www.creativecommunities.org.uk and praised by the Arts Council for being 'an inspirational guide to arts access'. Jayne has also written and updated the Arts Council England guidelines, 'Building inclusion: physical access guidance for the arts'.

Earnscliffe is proud to be sponsoring the Jodi Awards 2009.
The annual Jodi Awards are presented by the Jodi Mattes Trust to promote equal access to digital culture for on site and online projects in museums, libraries, archives, heritage sites, and arts organisations with collections, both in the UK and internationally.
The awards criteria emphasise creativity, user involvement and commitment to access.
